Sleeping Beauty |
In "Sleeping Beauty", an intelligent, spiritual tale of Catherine Breillat, Enchanted Princess is only 100 years of sleep. In addition to affecting the adventure of traveling on foot and on horseback.
After Beard for his previous film, Breillat has become a family, a change in the world history of women in particular, a daughter, Anastasia (a good first Bes Carla and Julia nainou Artamonov), and the world aspire to the imagination.
Like him, "Bluebeard" Breillat puts the child at the center, "Sleeping Beauty", almost as if to get their hands on the girl (you can see all the main girls) in front of him a story.
Anastasia is in her bathroom, if you really Breillat, and so full of fun, ramblings and discussions on life and womanhood. "I hated girls," said Anastasia, at one point, dropping the contempt of some of the dancers in the morning. Fortunately, there are dances and songs of pirates for fun (and us) a couple overviews of the Snow Queen and the knife flashing in the window hidden in a dark pool.
"Sleeping Beauty" is a concept based rather than reminiscent of a luxury. Their costumes, settings, and artistic decline is more convincing than the "Bluebeard", which seemed cheap. And "Sleeping Beauty La Belle" is the deepest thought and art direction, although it is very ugly, shot on film. Its slim and digital images from a lack of density and almost tactile quality that sometimes seems to be Breillat.
Given its exploration of female desire and masochism, and fantasies and illusions of romantic heterosexual love, it makes sense that Breillat should review the fairy tales. The pleasures of his work is his commitment and seriousness, and his first, evil can be fun: Quit all, no excuses.
